How do you find time to enjoy your day, even when you have a lot going on? Write about at least three specific things you do to enjoy small moments throughout your day.

Even when I have a lot going on, I try to find small ways to enjoy my day. First I like to listen to music in the morning because it helps me to start the day with a good mood. Second, during school or homework brakes, I take a few minutes to go outside, which helps me clear my head and get air. In  the evening I spend some time talking or texting to my friends and family back home in Germany it always makes me smile and relax after a busy day. These little moments make my day feel better even when I'm stressed .

Describe a time when someone’s words had a lasting impact on you.

Before I came to the United States for my exchange year my mom told me ''Your stronger than you think''. At the time I didn't really believe her. But when I arrived here and suddenly had to do everything on my own, from talking to strangers to solving problems in a another language her words kept coming back to me. Whenever I felt lonely or homesick. I reminded myself of what she said. It gave me courage  to keep going and helped me realize that I really can handle  more than I thought.

Write about a moment when you had to step out of your comfort zone.

When I came to the United States for my exchange year, I had to step out of my comfort zone completely, It was the first time I had ever lived so far away from home, family and friends. Suddenly, I had to make new friends, speak English all the time and get used to a totally different culture. At first it was really hard. I felt lost and nervous because everything was new. But overtime I learned how to handle things on my own. I started feeling more confident, made new friends and realized that I'm much stronger then I thought even though I miss my family and friends every day. Living here taugth me how to be independent and open to new experiences.

Write about a dream that felt real.

One time I dreamed that I was standing on a beach at sunset. The sky was painted in orange and pink, it was beautiful , and the sound of the waves was really clear that I could almost feel the water touching my feet. Suddenly, I saw a door floating in the air, when I opened it I stepped into a city full of lights and music like a festival that never ended. My friends were there too, laughing and dancing with me. Everything felt so real that when I woke up, I was very surprised to find myself in my bed and everything being quiet. summary: today we practiced vocabulary and wrote one sentence for each new word. Refelction: Today I learned new words and how to use them correctly in sentences.
